MedMock ("We", "Our", or "Us") is committed to protecting the privacy of every user ("You" or "Your") who accesses or registers on www.medmock.in ("Platform"). 1.1 Personal Identification Information

  • Full Name: used to identify Your account and personalize Your experience.
  • Email Address: used for account login, notifications, job alerts, and support communication.
  • Phone Number: used for account verification and important platform communications.
  • Gender: collected to understand our user base and improve platform relevance.
  • Date of Birth: collected for age verification and eligibility context relevant to government recruitment exams.

1.2 Exam and Performance Data

  • Mock test history, including date, exam board, and post category.
  • Test scores, percentile, correct and incorrect answer counts per attempt.
  • Question-by-question answer patterns used for performance insights and weak-area detection.
  • Time-on-task data per question and per test session.
  • Review mode activity, including questions revisited and explanations accessed.
  • Leaderboard rankings and aggregated performance data used for competitive features.

1.3 Technical and Usage Data

  • Device type, operating system, browser information, IP address, and approximate state/city-level location.
  • Pages visited, features used, navigation behavior, session timestamps, and login/logout activity.
  • Cookies and local storage data as described in Section 6.

1.4 Payment Information

MedMock does not directly collect or store credit/debit card numbers or banking details. Payment transactions are processed through third-party payment gateways. We may receive and store a transaction reference ID and payment status confirmation for record-keeping and support.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create, verify, authenticate, and manage Your Participant Account.
  • To process subscription plan activations and renewals.
  • To deliver mock tests, practice routes, board-wise content, scoring, performance dashboards, personalized insights, leaderboards, and comparative performance features.
  • To send active government recruitment vacancy alerts, exam route updates, question bank updates, platform changes, payment confirmations, and subscription reminders.
  • To analyse aggregated and anonymized usage patterns, improve content quality, fix bugs, and develop new exam boards, post-wise routes, and features.
  • To comply with applicable Indian laws and investigate or prevent fraud, unauthorized account access, or misuse of the Platform.

3. Sharing of Your Information

MedMock does not sell, rent, or trade Your personal information to any third party. We may share information only in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: payment gateways, email/SMS delivery services, and cloud hosting or infrastructure providers that support Platform operations.
  • Legal requirements: disclosure to government authorities, law enforcement agencies, or courts when required by Indian law, court order, or government directive.
  • Aggregated and anonymized data: platform statistics that do not identify You individually.
  • Business transfers: data may transfer to a successor entity in a merger, acquisition, or business transfer, with notice via the email address on Your account.

4. Data Retention

  • Personal and performance data is retained while Your account remains active or as needed to provide services.
  • Active account data is retained during Your subscription and for a reasonable period afterward for re-subscription or support queries.
  • If Your account is permanently locked due to non-payment after 14 days from the due date, all associated data including test history, performance records, and saved progress will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
  • If You request account deletion, MedMock will delete Your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
  • Anonymized and aggregated performance data may be retained indefinitely for platform analytics.

5. Data Security

MedMock implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include secure HTTPS connections, internal access controls, and regular review of data handling practices and security configurations.

No electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure. While we strive to protect Your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping Your account credentials confidential.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

MedMock uses cookies and similar browser-based technologies to keep You logged in, remember preferences and last-visited exam routes, analyse Platform navigation, and improve page load performance and feature delivery.

You may disable cookies through Your browser settings, but doing so may affect session persistence and performance tracking. MedMock does not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.

7. Children's Privacy

MedMock is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals below 18. If We become aware that a user below 18 has registered without appropriate consent, We will delete the account and associated data promptly.

8. Your Rights Over Your Data

  • Access: request a summary of personal information MedMock holds about You.
  • Correction: update inaccurate or outdated personal information through account settings or support.
  • Deletion: request deletion of Your account and associated personal data. Deletion is permanent and removes test history, performance data, and subscription access.
  • Opt out: unsubscribe from non-essential promotional emails. Transactional and account-related communications cannot be opted out of while Your account is active.
  • Data portability: request a readable copy of performance data. We will endeavour to fulfil such requests within 15 business days.

9. Third-Party Links and Job Alert Sources

The Platform may contain links to external websites, official recruitment board notifications, or third-party job alert sources. These links are for convenience and information only. MedMock does not control or take responsibility for third-party content, privacy practices, or data handling.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

MedMock may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in data practices, platform features, or legal requirements. The updated policy will be published at www.medmock.in/privacy.html with a revised effective date. Significant changes may be notified by email or in-platform notification.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
