Eligibility & Selection
Educational Qualification: Qualifications vary by specific department. Generally, a Ph.D. in relevant fields (e.g., statistics, bioinformatics, genetics, life sciences, etc.) is required for Scientist-II roles, and an M.Sc. 1st class or master's degree 1st class is required for Scientist-I roles.
Selection Process: The process consists of three stages: Stage I: Written/CBT test. Stage II: Screening for eligibility for qualified candidates. Stage-III: Descriptive Written Test (DWT).
Exam Pattern: Stage-I features 200 objective-type questions. Stage-III (DWT) is a pen-and-paper (offline) mode test lasting 2 hours (120 minutes) for 50 marks.

Syllabus
